RPS' Big Breakfast morning in aid of Prostate Cymru

Last week RPS Technology Solutions hosted a ‘Big Breakfast’ for their nominated charity Prostate Cymru.

Established in 2003, Prostate Cymru is the leading charity in Wales fighting against prostate disease. The charity aims to raise awareness, promote understanding and fund both the latest medical equipment and training of healthcare professionals.

Held at RPS’ Head Office, based at The Springboard Innovation Centre, the morning consisted of an array of delicious treats from pastries and muffins, to breakfast baguettes and hot drinks.

Following this, Prostate Cymru volunteer Ian Norton, gave a talk raising awareness about the disease and detailing the brilliant work that the charity carries out.

Ron Griffiths, Managing Director of RPS Technology Solutions, said: “The event was a great success, raising a total of £251, of which all proceeds go directly to Prostate Cymru. Businesses are a vital source to increase awareness amongst the male population in Wales, we are delighted to be helping Prostate Cymru make a difference.”

Prostate Cymru Volunteer, Ian Norton, said: “It was a pleasure to be invited to talk at RPS’ Big Breakfast event. Prostate Cancer takes the lives of approx. 1000 men per month in Wales.”

He added: “As a result of RPS’ efforts, we can continue to fulfil our core aims: to raise awareness about prostate cancer and prostate diseases, to support treatments and ultimately to fund research across Wales to ensure that men in Wales suffering with prostate diseases have access to the best available treatments from the NHS in Wales.”
