As the year draws to a close, it’s natural to look back and reflect on the events of the last twelve months as well as to look forward to what the future might bring.
For Petersens PR, 2023 has been a year of celebration, growth and success.
Early in the year, we took on our latest PR and social media intern, Ellie Courtman. Ellie joined us fresh from completing her MA in Creative Writing and was keen to put her skills to the test in a professional environment.

Brimming with ideas and positivity, Ellie was a great addition to the team, and when she completed her internship, we took her on as a full-time PR and social media executive.
We’ve not only taken on a new member of staff this year, but new business too. We’ve welcomed new clients as well as increasing our work with existing clients.
We now work with businesses and organisations in a varied range of sectors including law, education, property and printing.
And we’ve achieved great things for those clients, such as growing their social media presence, helping them become thought leaders in their sectors and getting their stories covered by the media.
In fact, we’ve helped our clients get their stories covered by specialist publications, local press, radio and TV this year.
Another reason to celebrate in 2023 was being nominated for a prestigious award by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) for our work with Cardiff-based law firm Geldards.
Our campaign with Geldards’ SEN team helped boost the profile of the team and increased its revenue by 30% year-on-year.
For that, Petersens PR was shortlisted at the CIPR Cymru PRide Awards 2023 in the education category. While we didn’t win, we were honoured to be shortlisted and to share in the success of the Welsh PR sector at the ceremony in Cardiff in November.
However, our biggest celebration of 2023 was our 20th anniversary. For two decades, Petersens PR has been providing public relations, communications and marketing services to businesses and organisations across Wales and beyond.
We’ve worked with all sizes of organisation, from startup businesses to multinationals, and everything in-between.
Our services are constantly evolving to meet the needs of our clients and the ever-changing nature of PR, but we still offer the same level of quality and commitment upon which we have built our reputation.

We gained several pieces of coverage of our own for our anniversary press release, including in Business News Wales.
And, in December, our MD Rob Petersen was profiled by Wales Business Insider magazine, in which he discussed his long career and gave his insights into the future of PR in an interview with editor Douglas Friedli.
After such a busy year, we’re looking forward to a short Christmas break, but we’re already making plans for the future and looking forward to the opportunities and challenges 2024 will bring.
